Ashley Cove Owners Association

Neighborhood Information

The Ashley Cove neighborhood was developed by Crescent Resources in 1996.  Original plans included 53 home sites.  As grading began for the community boatslip entrance, a historical grave site was discovered, resulting in the removal of one home site.

Ashley Cove is located two miles off Hwy 16, by way of Webbs Road.  Burton Lane and Webbs Chapel Church Road border the neighborhood, with three interior streets: Long Cove Drive, Mariner Lane, and Ashley Lane.

There are 29 off-water lots, each with a deeded boatslip.  The community boatslips are located on Burton Lane.  The remaining 23 lots are waterfront, each with a specified pier envelope.  Ashley Cove waterfront lots are located on two coves, located just off Little Creek.

The Little Creek Public Boat Access was established and is maintained by Duke Energy Lake Management.  Located adjacent to Ashley Cove community property, yet separated by several hundred feet of wooded acreage, the access is incredibly convenient for our neighborhood.  The facilities at the boat access provide two boat ramps and a pier for loading/unloading, as well as a large parking lot.  The access is popular with fishermen year round, and is typically busy during boating/swimming weather.

The Ashley Cove community is comprised of a variety of home styles, incorporating different building trends.  Although diverse, the community is well balanced, providing a cohesiveness that protects our investments and ensures good resale potential.

The ACOA Board of Directors endeavors to uphold and maintain the restrictive covenants, in an effort to ensure the integrity of the neighborhood.

Improvements enacted by the ACOA include expansion of the neighborhood identification monument and the addition of a trailer storage lot, at no additional cost to the members.

Over the years, several neighborhood outings have been arranged by the ACOA, providing neighbors an opportunity to meet and mingle.

Ashley Cove is located in Denver, North Carolina, a small Lincoln County town located along Hwy 16, between Hwy 150 to the north and Hwy 73 to the south.  The town is surrounded by larger towns and cities such as Charlotte, Huntersville, Cornelius, Mooresville, Gastonia, Hickory and Lincolnton, all within 1/2 hour drive.

Ashley Cove is in the Rock Springs Elementary, North Lincoln Middle and North Lincoln High School district.  These Lincoln County schools have achieved educational excellence and prominence, and enjoy strong family and community support.  Lincoln Charter School and other private schools are also within a short drive.
